A study analyzed the relationship between energy consumption, financial development, and technology innovation in E-7 countries from 1995 to 2022. The results confirmed that carbon dioxide emissions, green economic growth, and ecological footprint have a positive and strong long-term correlation. The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) progress report 2020, particularly objective 71, emphasizes energy as a critical component of attaining sustainable development. Fossil fuels make up the bulk of the world’s energy sources. The Emerging Seven (E-7) countries have seen a noticeable surge in the green economy growth of the past few decades. The countries that contribute the most to anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions are likely to bear a greater share of the responsibility for lowering these emissions.
